Long-range locators are used to narrow down a search area before working it with a detector or scanner. Most combine several systems in one kit (long-range, ionic, magnetometer or 3D imaging). Range and depth figures shown here are the manufacturers' stated maximums; real results vary a lot with ground, target size and how long a target has been buried, so ask us before you buy if you are unsure which system fits your work.
