The VX5 is a strong first serious detector. It runs at 13 kHz or in multi-frequency, has four search modes for quick setup and a fast fixed recovery speed for parks and yards full of modern trash.
Iron Volume lets you turn down the sound of iron targets while still hearing them, and the detector is fully waterproof to 16 ft, light, and collapses for travel.
